2017 Kia GT Delayed, Ambitions Remain Intact!

It seems that Kia won’t be joining Hyundai in the quest to compete in the luxury automotive industry. Instead, Kia has got other ambitions and one of them is to compete in the performance segment.

This has already been confirmed by Kia when they announced on the development of a new sports car called the GT earlier this year. The GT was initially projected to get released in late next year but Kia now decided to push the date back further to somewhere in 2017.

Despite the delay, Kia’s goal with the GT is not derailed. It might sound a little bit too ambitious but Kia wants the GT to compete with the Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera. The first time we heard that, we literally sprayed out the cola in our mouth.

Well, it is still a possible target for Kia to achieve but the carmaker will find it hard to convince everyone into getting the GT instead of the Panamera and A7. By the sound of things, the GT is still on the right track as it looks to run on a V8 engine that is tuned for power.
