Covington man tracks new 2015 Kia

ATLANTA —
A brand new vehicle has arrived for one lucky Covington man. James Lofton won his 2015 Kia sedan from being selected as a winner from the Jackpot Series Second Chance Promotion, winning a 2015 Kia Optima EX.
The lucky winner was awarded his vehicle Wednesday.
“My wife and I are very excited,” said Lofton, 81. “I will drive it occasionally.” With his wife, Barbara, the couple – married for nearly 56 years – have three adult daughters. Lofton is a retired federal banking examiner.
Jackpot Series is a family of Georgia Lottery instant games with prizes ranging from $50,000 to $3 million. Ticket prices for the games are $1, $2, $5 and $20.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $16.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.4 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
