The
2015 Kia Optima Hybrid
midsize sedan starts at $26,725, including an $825 destination charge,
reflecting no price increase over the 2014 model.
Kia Motors America announced
pricing on the Optima
Hybrid in early January. The Optima
Hybrid is on sale now at Kia
dealerships.
The
top-of-the-line 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid EX starts at
$32,975, including shipping, reflecting a $180 price increase over the previous
top-of-the-line model.
This is
a carryover vehicle with minimal changes for the new model year. The acoustic
laminated windshield now comes standard on the Optima Hybrid EX and
optional on the base model.
Aurora
Black Pearl exterior paint adds $200 to the bottom line. A $2,350 Tech package
adds a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot detection system with rear cross-traffic
alert and a back-up warning system. A $400 White Interior package adds white
leather seating trim with piping. It must be ordered with the Tech package.
Both
models are equipped with a 199-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, 47-hp
electric motor and lithium-polymer battery.
The
base 2015 Optima
Hybrid returns 36 mpg in city driving and 40 mpg on the highway, according to
the EPA.
Key
competitors to the Optima
Hybrid include the Ford Fusion Hybrid, Honda Accord Hybrid and Toyota Camry
Hybrid.
Edmunds
says: Kia holds the line on
base 2015 Optima Hybrid pricing, which is a bonus for car shoppers.
