The facelifted Kia Rio and Venga hatchbacks are on sale now, featuring restyled front and rear for a sportier look as well as interior and equipment upgrades.
Prices start from £10,345 for the Rio three-door and £10,945 for the five-door. The Venga costs from £11,995.
The three- and five-door Rio features revised front and rear bumpers, along with changes to the upholstery and centre console trim to improve perceived quality.
Fresh equipment includes touchscreen satnav, electric mirrors, a DAB radio, tyre pressure monitoring and improvements to the luggage area. There are also new colours and wheels.
The engine line-up is unchanged, with 1.25- and 1.4-litre petrol units developing 84 and 107bhp respectively, along with 1.1- and 1.4-litre diesels with 74 and 89bhp. Both petrol engines exceed 50mpg and emit less than 130g/km of CO2, while the 1.1 diesel is capable of 74mpg and less than 100g/km.
The entry-level 1.1 diesel, with smaller wheels and tyres, is capable of 88.3mpg and 86g/km. The larger diesel can manage 70.6mpg, with 105g/km of CO2. A four-speed automatci transmission is available with the larger petrol engine.
The Venga also gains a bold new look
Changes for the larger, five-door Venga are broadly similar, with new bumpers at both ends and interior refinements.
Chief among the changes is a new range-topping trim taking the total to five, while four engines are offered to give a choice of 11 models.
As with the Rio, tyre pressure monitoring is standard on all versions, while a touchscreen satnav is included on higher-spec models.
The petrol engines are a 1.4 with 89bhp and a 1.6 developing 123bhp. The diesels are a 1.4/89bhp and a 1.6/114bhp. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, with a four-speed auto available with ther larger petrol engine.
