2016 Kia Sportage Facelift: Side Wins & Rear Wins, Front Fail

The Sportage Facelift is the next major vehicle to come from Kia and it is bound to make its debut later this month. Being a Facelift model, you can expect the Sportage to look different from the latest-generation model.

Well, Kia is going to deliver just that after they revealed that the Sportage Facelift is going to be based on the Provo Concept which was unveiled back in 2013. Now, Kia has released a teaser concept image of the Sportage Facelift and it got us worried.

This is because there is an absence of balance with the way the SUV looks. From the rear and the sides, the Sportage looks like an upmarket car and it is also appealing to the eye. The problem is with the front which has too much going on at the same time.

In detail, the front of the vehicle is occupied by top-mounted headlights, a Tiger Grille and a four-unit LED running lights. Together with the weird proportions and curve of the front, it makes the Sportage look ugly.

Of course, this is just our perception on the vehicle. Even so, you will probably agree with us if we say that the front of the Sportage should be made longer and wider.
