Ahead of its official debut
at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in less than two weeks, Kia has released more information on the
fourth-generation crossover with the new interior sporting better materials and
a focus on practicality. A wide range of technologies aim to improve comfort,
convenience, connectivity and safety on the Sportage.
According to the Korean
automaker, the all-new interior is one of the most significant improvements
made over the previous-generation Sportage. The design team focused on creating
a cabin with a wide, driver-oriented dash but with a simple, modern design. By
blending metalwork with soft materials, the interior features clearly defined
horizontal lines. The Sportage
also gets a more upscale looking steering wheel and a cleaner infotainment
setup.
Greater soundproofing has
been added to the 2017 Kia Sportage
to help make the cabin quieter. Customers will also be able to opt for a
two-tone interior finish in either Dark and Light Grey or Black and Canyon
Beige for the cabin. Regardless of the interior colors chosen, however, the
console will always be finished in black.
Check back on September 15
when the 2017 Kia Sportage makes its official debut for more information on the
next-generation crossover.
